Ernie is a 12 year old, 20lb Terrier mix. He is a great little guy. Calm, happy, does fine with other dogs, and the list goes on and on. He could be in a home with or without other dogs, he doesn’t care. He ignores the other dogs anyway. The other dogs would need to be tolerant of Ernie not being able to see very well, though. Ernie walks great on leash and would do great at dog friendly events and restaurants. He is almost completely blind – may see shadows, and is diabetic. Ernie gets insulin injections twice daily in 12 hour intervals (any deviation from the times will be harmful to him). He tolerates the injection fairly well. For the most part, Ernie eats great, and enjoys a variety of food. Ernie is looking for a forever family of his very own. Email us with questions at lizzyshospice@gmail.com.
